REBRANDING MIL PRENDAS

FREELANCE - 2023

Mil Prendas is a Portuguese children's fashion shop with newborn items, children's clothing from 0-16 years old and ceremonial and baptismal clothing and items manufactured in Portugal.

The brand has been around for 34 years and its business model is local and traditional, making it a small-scale family business.

This rebranding proposal aims to give a young, cool and modern image to a traditional brand that has accompanied the growth of so many children and is already a landmark in its community.

The visual identity created reflects the essence of the brand - with fun and youthful colours; the logo stands out for its fluid typography which, in itself, looks like a symbol, the "MP", which refers to a sea wave, on purpose since the shop is located in the south of Portugal, very close to the sea and sells exclusively Portuguese products. The lettering is fun and bold and the colours used evoke a sense of coolness, inclusion and youth.

A cohesive, simple and fun graphic system was created where the logo stands out and its key word is inclusion, hence the choice of orange. Simple, the design prioritises clarity and fluidity, combining the typographic combination of Yink, Anja Eliane accent Nornal and Helvética.

The graphic elements created complete the image and experience of shopping at Mil Prendas. A fun, inclusive, quality and super cool experience are the sensations we want to arouse with the new image.

In this project, various adaptations of the rebranding were developed, in sticker format, packaging, social media and social communication. The particularity of this project was that the client wanted to expand her shop online, so the shop's official website was created and is now operational and available.

In conclusion, the experience proposed by Mil Prendas captures the essence of buying Portuguese and local with a modern and cool twist. Its visual identity reinforces this proposal, creating a symbiosis between the modern and the traditional where the ultimate goal is to see local quality reach a global scale.
